Last week, in an effort to maximize the health and well-being of every member of our school community, the Archdiocese of Chicago announced that all Catholic Schools would close as of Monday, March 16, 2020 due to Covid-19. This included St. William School. This decision inevitably impacted after-school activities, athletics, field trips and community activities, all of which are currently suspended.
Since then, every day brings new restrictions impacting everyone's lives in ways that none of us have ever experienced before. During these highly uncertain times, St. William School families have been able to count on one stable aspect of their lives: their children's learning.
Our amazing faculty and staff members spent a couple of long days putting together a comprehensive online learning plan for all of our students, from preschool to 8th grade. They are working around the clock and collaboratively to implement our unique School Continuity e-learning plan. Our E-learning plan kicked off March 18, 2020 covering all essential subjects.
Our faculty has definitely risen to the challenge of providing great solutions in such a short time. We are proud to say these efforts have given our families the confidence and support needed in these challenging times.
As we are advancing toward an unexpected future in this global health crisis, it is comforting to see our school community remain faithful to its values of academic excellence.
Thank you for your dedication and hard work! Thank you for all that you do for our students!
