   The SWS Saints
Cheer our Sports Teams onto Victory!

Our St. William Athletic Program offers students an opportunity to gain experience in competitive sports.

The girls volleyball program has completed their first season in the Classic League. Playoffs will start after the coach's meeting  on May 1st.  Two teams were fielded: Junior Varsity (Grades 5 &6)  and Varsity  (Grades 7&8).  Special thanks to Mr. Kevin Long for his support, patience and expertise.

Co-ed spring soccer has begun through the Forest Park Youth Soccer Association. All games are played on the turf field at Veteran's Park in Forest Park.  All are welcome to come and cheer the Saints.  The scheduled is posted at FPYSA.org

The  2010 - 2011 basketball season has ended the Boys Varsity team finishing first in the league. All four of our teams had a great season! Go Saints!

Have you seen our new basketball hoops?  Thanks to the Jordan Family Sports Foundation grant we received this year, these hoops were purchased and installed in our parking lot at no cost to us—and the total cost was about $5,000!  We are thrilled to have permanent basketball hoops available for basketball team practices, gym classes, and recess play, and we know they will be used often.

Students and teachers gathered outside and Father Robert blessed the hoops and all the students who will use them.

St. William School supports a policy that ensures all players on the team gain experience during competitive play.

Parents are involved as coaches and/or sit on the St. William Athletic Committee to provide input and guidance to help build up the program.  At times the committee will organize fundraisers to help purchase uniforms or equipment.
